Jessica’s advice for prospective homebuyers is:

“When a customer comes in to ask about a loan, I highly recommend that they make sure their credit report looks decent. No past-due debt (if there is, get it paid) and make on-time payments on your bills and debt accounts. While in the process of applying for your mortgage, do not get another loan or credit card. You don’t want to add to your debt after filling out your home loan application. ”
